On behalf of the family….
It is with much sadness that we announce the passing of David Jones who passed away suddenly, but peacefuly at home in his favourite armchair on the 8th of August.
Much loved husband of the Late Phyllis Jones & proud Father of 2 sons and 2 Grandchildren.
Dai as he liked to be called was a well known and much loved resident of Caldicot, being at some point a Caldicot Fireman, British Rail employee at Severn Tunnel Junction, Llanwern Steelworks and last but not least, one of the last surviving soldiers of The Battle of the Imjin River – 1st Battalion – The Glorious Glosters.
Dai will be sadly missed by the family and all that knew him.
The funeral will be held at Caldicot Methodist Church on Tuesday the 10th of September 1:30PM.
The wake will be held at The Haywain at aproximately 2:30pm.
All that knew him are welcome to attend.
