The Photograph has been included as a tribute to the Late Ollie Halstead. Ollie is pictured playing the Piccolo, behind the Drummer. The occasion is the WO’s & Sgt’s Back Badge Ball 1957, held at the Depot, Gloucester. Others making up the Guard were: Drummer Coveney from Bristol. Behind C/Sgt Ollie Halstead, Cpl. Numbers attending the reunion each year have increased considerably, due in no small part to the support of the ‘Friends of the Band and Drums’ Officers, Senior and Junior Ranks who were members of the 28th/LXI
