The webmaster suffers from a major lack of content for the tributes he publishes for members who have died (currently 147 have responded, out of the many hundreds out there).
This knowledge, once held by RHQ at Gloucester, has regrettably been lost.
Understandably, it is highly embarrassing encroaching on the grief of a family to ask for service details of the deceased. Families expect us to have the full knowledge at hand and it is awkward and frustrating being unable to answer their questions.
With this in mind, you are requested to complete the Personal Consent Form. It is simple to complete and will just take a few minutes. Today there is nobody better than you to provide us with these facts.
To reassure you, the information that you supply will be maintained in confidence, in accordance with the Data Protection Act. It will be safely held in the office of the Chairman of the Regimental Association, Col. (Ret’d) Michael Cornwell OBE.
All ranks are invited show your support and appreciation to Phil by completing the form without delay. By doing so you will be giving considerable help to those who will, one day, compile the news of your death and wish to pay tribute to you and your service to our regiment.
